@weishaar in this pattern you could replace the knots on the left edge with bf knots and on the right edge with fb knots. This will help the edges be smoother and the overall bracelet to be straighter. What also helps is consistent knot tightness and making sure, you are not pulling the bracelet to either side while knotting.
