no, you leave the strings where they are. You do the same knots, but with different colours. Each repeat of this pattern has different colours.

So you just pull the colors over? I haven't seen that happen before in a repeat but I am pretty new to it. Thank you for the response!!

once you get to the last row, you start in the first row again. The knots are still the same, but the colours are different.
