@camouillee basically just ignore the gap and think about it like you're making a candystripe bracelet, except you switch the direction of the knots you're making periodically. when you start the backwards knots at row 11 you pull those knots up tight to the previous row of forward knots. if that doesn't help try looking up "zigzag friendship bracelet tutorial" on youtube

@refreger It is like a normal striped bracelet except you switch directions. So you would do four rows of stripes with forward knots, and then four rows with backward knots. When you switch directions you have to pull the knots up tightly so they sit up against the previous row. If you look at the pictures, the direction change happens when there are two rows of the same color next to each other. If that doesn't help, try looking up "zigzag friendship bracelet tutorial" on youtube.

@rubymae I get mine from either Joann or michaels. I’ve found that Joann has a better selection on thread, and michaels has a better selection for beads.
