@savannahe on the left edge you make fb knots with the string of the background colour and on the right edge you make bf knots. This way you are able to make the edge all one colour.
@AHH_a_mACE to me it does not look hard 🙂 If you are unsure, maybe you could make a keychain from this pattern first. This way you would only need to do one repeat.
