this pattern makes bracelets that look old somehow. i made this one and it reminds me of a grandma furniture fabric 🤔

@KatLaneII in this pattern since the gaps are all just the size that a knot would have, you don't do anything special. You just do all the knots in the pattern like they are indicated in the pattern.If there are bigger gaps, there are different things you can do with the loose strings - either leave them loose or hide them in the edges. You would hide the strings in the edges the same way you would hide them in a triangle end, but that does not work here because the holes are so small. To learn more, search for "shaped bracelet". Also for this pattern knot tightly but also be wary how much because changing tension makes the gaps look wonky.

Something I've found helpful if you're starting with the teardrop loop: start at row 11, knot row 12, and then restart the pattern at 1 and then knot until row 3. After that do rows 11-12 once more and then you can continue knotting as shown in the pattern.
