@knotkssdf Hi! I’m glad you found my tip helpful. Blocking is mainly used in knitting, but I always do it with my friendship bracelets too. Basically, after you finish the bracelet (including the ties), just soak the bracelet in water for about 30 sec while gently pulling on the bracelet’s ends at the same time to straighten it out. The knots will relax in the water, causing the bracelet to flatten in a nice way. 👍 Then, lay the bracelet flat on a towel or something and just wait for it to dry (usually a few hours). Once dry, the bracelet will feel softer, and the knots will look much more even! 😊 If you don’t have a bowl, you can just hold the bracelet under running water and pull, but I find the bowl method more eco friendly. 😊 |

Hello @knittyelf 🙂i am thankful for your tips, as i would like to make this bracelet 😄 But how do you "block" a bracelet? Do you do that after you finished the bracelet or continuously as youre making it? Thanks and have a nice day 🙂

This was fun to make, but I tweaked some of the knots to make them symmetrical. I’m not sure why the far right knots suddenly become forward-backward knots. I just alternated forward and backward knots for that part of both of the edges. This is definitely a bracelet that needs blocking. I soaked mine in water for a min and then gently pulled it to flatten it. 👍 |
