@reena_55 you can make two ties on each side. With only 6 strings per tie, it shouldn't bunch it up too much.

With the leftover base strings at the beginning and end you can make braids to use as ties @reena_55

@reena_55 oops, you make one knot on each base string, not one knot in total. I think ''In this pattern, you first need to do 13 rows of blue. In the first row, start on the left and make a blue forward knot on all the base strings (12 in total). In the second row, start on the right and make 12 blue backwards knots.'' might be a bit misleading the way I wrote it. |

@reena_55 I would recommend this pattern, it seems fairly beginner-friendly 🙂I'm not sure, if the steps I wrote are enough, so here is a second attempt: For this pattern you need 12 base strings. Cut 12 strings. I would say about the length of your underarm is a good length for base strings. Tape the base strings down so that there is about 10cm excess before the tape. For this pattern you need 5 leading strings of 5 different colours: blue (colour a), light blue (colour b), black (colour c), white (colour d) and dark blue (colour e). You can leave the leading strings on the skein and cut them once you are done. In this pattern, you first need to do 13 rows of blue. In the first row, start on the left and make a blue forward knot on all the base strings (12 in total). In the second row, start on the right and make 12 blue backwards knots. In row 14 you have your first colour switch. I recommend doing the flat alpha colour switch as described in MashaKnots' video. I highly recommend watching it. In row 14, make 4 blue backward knots. Then fold the blue leading string up. Make one half of a light blue backwards knot. Fold the blue leading string over the base string you just made that first half of the light blue knot on and then behind the bracelet. Make the second half of the light blue backwards knot. The blue leading string should now be sandwiched between the leading string and the first light blue knot. |
