@sointhread you can add a new color on the edge with a forward-backward knot (like the straight-edge technique) so at least the end of the string is pointing toward the inside of the bracelet rather than poking out the edge. The next method requires planning. If you know the Flat alpha technique or Clean back alpha technique (where the previous/successive colors are tucked in between other knots) you can add the color in the previous row to secure it better. For example, you can add the green string on row 11 at about the 3rd or 4th knot from the end, hide it in between the other knots except the last one in the row--- for that one you need to pair the green with the base string so it's not poking out the edge when you finally use it. Or you can just pair it with the base string several rows earlier so it's hidden and secure when it comes time for that first knot on the edge. Then later on you can cut the tail end off very close to the bracelet without fear of the knot coming unraveled 😄 |
