I did this pattern on a wool loom and even though I didn't like how it turned out I'm still going to upload it just to give others doing this design on a loom. I should have used a redder color but oh well, I gladly accept my failure.
Sometimes I cover the back up with felt. It's not so much that I mind the messiness, but when I glue the string ends down, the glue doesn't feel good on your wrist. I've started sewing the ends in to avoid this though.
This is messier as it changes colors a lot. If you pick a 2 color pattern and use the tutorial method, the back will look like the front. If you pick a pattern like #10880, the background color goes back and forth across the back and looks neater because it covers up all the color changes in middle.
