@lilaly I think you just make the octopus body normally then when you are done you use the exces strings to make twists or square knots for the legs

My original thought for this pattern was to have the tentacles just be the base strings hanging down, or to knot a few of them together like you would in a normal pattern. However, to make it more recognizable as a jellyfish/octopus, I added the legs onto the pattern itself and of course you can do that too 😊
