This will be my first alpha EVER! I’m on row 8 right now so I’ll post soon! I’m making a keychain. I’m excited to finally have enough guts to try an alpha.

This pattern is so cool. It also was my first alpha bracelet. Although it was kinda hard at the beginning, i really got into it and finished it :>

@ritavascon this pattern has 12 base strings, but you could check out MashaKnots' video on making loops with odd numbers of string. It's for normal patterns, but you can still apply it to alphas.

@banana84 your doing it right! Make sure you don’t pull the thread to tight/ some people call it pinching when it does this. There is a technique called the Flat Alpha Technique where when you are ready to do a color switch you do the first half of your knot with the new color and then you lay the string you are done working with on the knot you just made and then you finish the knot with your new working string with the old working string laying inside of the knot. Hopefully that makes some sense there are also YouTube videos that show how to do it!

Hi ! Really love this pattern 😍 quick question: how do you manage to switch color when they are not next to each other ? For example, in the line 3, you have to use the yellow thread but it’s not at the « right place ». So far, I’ve managed to do it by moving it behind the other threads but it gets all bumpy … sorry its not very clear but I’m not sure how to phrase it
