@Happyday7 yes, to make it easier for you, take a screenshot of the normal pattern and rotate it 180 degrees (or just hold it upside down). Just ignore the arrows in the pattern and knot it based on the pattern.

@halokiwi For the normal part of the latter the diamonds are going the opposite way as shown in this pattern. Is it possible to start the normal pattern backwards( bottom-top) instead? @halokiwi

@Alternatively use a normal pattern that’s 48 strings and use 2 strands per base string

The idea comes from -MonteCristo on reddit who asked for a pattern resembling the fishhead of a fish windsock to combine with a normal fish scale pattern.

This pattern is meant to be combined with pattern #36083 or a similar pattern with 24 strings. You knot the head like indicated in the pattern, but you knot the body like a normal pattern using the base strings as your strings for the normal pattern. Make sure to put the base strings in the order needed and make sure that they are long enough.
