@jansport Me neither, I just really like biology, and would like to study it actually, or something adjacent.

@jansport I'm no expert, it's just basic genetics, and Snake Discovery (seriously, check them out, they do educational programmes, and on Youtube just very nice videos about reptiles, breeding, feeding, and overall caring for them)

@jansport Well, albino is a codominant trait in corn snakes, so even if one parent was albino, and one normal, the albino parent had to have AA alleles, and the other one could only be het for albinism, so have aA alleles- otherwise they wouldn't be able to have an albino baby. It could also be selective-bred - there are soooo many "designer" morphs (see- corn snake wikipedia>colour morphs), but I'm pretty sure it's not as simple as half-albino half-normal 😄.

@CawTheCrow this particular corn snake was a mix- half albino half normal. That’s why she was paler than the typical reddish brown but not as pale as the yellows/pink albinos. The result was a very vibrant orange and red- brighter than any other corn snake I’ve ever seen!

I just read the previous comments. You had a corn snake! Ohh, that's so sweet. Can I still make colour variations?

@jansport I mean it! I watch Snake Discovery on Youtube, they breed cornsnakes all the time. I ran out of colour changes for the day, but I will surely make an albino, and all the other types when I can. 😎
