I'm in my 40s and found some leftover embroidery floss and thought..."huh, maybe I'll make a friendship bracelet..." That led me on a quest for the perfect techniques, threads, and patterns to try out. I'd tried making them when I was an early teen, but without the internet and without someone to teach me the ins-and-outs of knots and patterns, I failed miserably at even the simplest bracelet.

I'm happy that I found another hobby (I also crochet and started macrame) where I can relax and still produce something beautiful.
