Friendship bracelets are just my side hobby, so I don't make them that often and also I'm a slow knotter, but I'm still very passionate about it.
I prefer smaller normal patterns (~8-14 strings) of ethnic/tribal/Celtic/bohemian/psychedelic style. I like geometric patterns with outlines, diamond shapes, twists, things like that. I'm also really fond of flower & nature ornaments in bracelets. ๐ผ๐ฟโฎ๏ธ
I rarely do alpha patterns, and when I do I'm most likely to cross-stitch them now.
