100th pattern #197507 (The first stage of a froggy's life: tadpole)
i just got my first pattern request so let me say: I WILL LITERALLY MAKE ANYONE ANYTHING. JUST DM ME. ❤️
i’ve been high-key obsessed with this app/website since i found it; from day one i’ve added to my to-dos with reckless abandon and no rhyme or reason.
will i make them all? no.
do i not even like some of them but made them to-dos bc i like the conversations in the comments section? yes.
and that’s okay.
censorship can eat it.
i do these patterns mostly by knitting, crochet and cross stitch. when talking about it, I call it all knitting, fight me about it.
i’ve have also been known to draw out a grid on a sheet of paper and paint the patterns; to that, the walls of my home can attest.
(US terms used) i’ve found that when knitting these patterns, you should do them as is (each square is one stitch up and one stitch across)
when crocheting in DC stitch, each square should be two stitches across. this helps shorten the difference b/t DC stitch height/width and you don’t end up with a skinny and stretched out pattern. i think the horizontally squished patterns would be perfect for single DC stitches, but i haven’t tried yet.
working update: if the pattern doesn't have very much small detail, you could do SC or HDC with single stitches per square but the pattern motif won't be as sharp as doubling up DC stitches.

RIP Beverage (Bev): a nebelung cat born 4-15-2014, adopted 11-7-2018, died 08-28-2025.
You were my first cat all my own, and I will love and miss you forever.
If you wanna see her, I have her holding the pieces in photos #97195 and #147027
