I love making bracelets. They are intricate and beautiful and express the idea that friendship is special and something to be nurtured so it lasts.
Since finding Bracelet Book recently, and seeing some of the amazing bracelets on this site, I have come to understand that bracelets can be works of art. But even the most wobbly beginner bracelet, has at its heart, the idea of giving. This site is the most amazing one I have encountered, because it has that same idea at its heart.

I live in Victoria, Canada but grew up in South Africa. I work as a technical writer.

For the last 9 years, I have also been a climate activist, trying to create awareness, that we need to change our way of interacting with the earth and try to save it, ourselves and the creatures we share it with. The ideas of community, sharing and helping each other are part of that too.
