Been knotting since the 1980s during my elementary school time and through Highschool and university as well as teachers/professors accepted it for not disturbing (like knitters with the clicking of metal needles). During my teenager years there were no wooden/acrylic knitting needles unfortunately.
So for many decades I knit, knot and crochet ๐
Back then it was quite tough to get your fingers on materials, growing up on the countryside in southern Germany I had to take my chance when we drove to Munich (1 hour in car) to get to a wool store that had all desired materials but these also were expensive, especially for knotting bracelets. Basically there existed just one make called Anchor and it was expensive (about 5 USD per 30 meters of one color). Pocket money always needed to be held back for these trips ๐ ๐ ๐
