I was looking for a quiet activity do with my Mom, and have found bracelet making to be soothing after her passing. She'd have liked to see my creations. I've just begun to do alphas and found them challenging and fun. I'm grateful for the wealth of inspiration on this site.
My "loves" are patterns I am hoping to make soon. For now, I am attempting to focus on easier but interesting alphas in an effort to create a flatter surface. I also want to avoid a strip that narrows as I go, as a result of varying tension as I tie. I find that from day to day my tension level varies -- both in my strings and emotionally! Knotting is meditative for me, a therapeutic pocket of quiet in my day.
