Hello! I am finishing my undergraduate studies soon with a degree in Applied Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. I plan on earning my masters degree in similar studies, then hopefully move onto a PhD in epidemiology. I also recently finished a minor in French, so if anyone wants to help me practice feel free to message me!
My profile pic is my cat Myrtle ❤️ She's about 8 years old.
I have been making all sorts of friendship bracelets since I was a child. I started with gimp in elementary school, then learned normal patterns with thread in middle school. I tried a couple alpha patterns towards the beginning of high school, but I haven't gotten back into them until recently. Overall, I would say I've been tying knots for at least 10 years.
I love making bracelets as gifts for other people and constantly have at least one on my wrist and/or ankle. Usually I tie them on permanently (they don't come off until they come untied again or if I have to untie them!) but now I make a lot of them adjustable, especially if it's for someone else. 😊
My favorite kind to make are aztec/arrowhead/diamond normal patterns because they are easy to segment knot and the colors can move around a lot in the pattern.
Aside from bracelets, I like painting, drawing, photography, etc. I love exploring nature and have several many houseplants!
I joined Bracelet Book to get better at designing larger/complex patterns, collect new patterns, and to hopefully make more alpha patterns. I also want to make more bracelets throughout the year in general! 🤪 Let's be friends!
