Hi everyone! ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐๐ณ๏ธโ๐

(Bio in progress, I'll finish it later (maybe lol))
I've been making bracelets for almost 5 years now (๐คฏ), and I have no plans of stopping anytime soon. I honestly love knotting so much, it's my favourite way to de-stress and relax, and as a bonus, I get to create little works of art ๐ I'm honestly amazed at everyone who keeps creating and releasing such wonderful patterns. I'm so grateful to have BraceletBook as a resource, so I can keep knotting, even if I can't come up with patterns myself ๐ โค๏ธ
Since I've uploaded 200+ photos at this point, there are some questions I get relatively frequently, so I thought I'd answer some here (if you have any other questions, you are always welcome to message me ofc! I really love chatting with y'all and helping out when I can)
*Colour changing bracelets*
- The colour-changing string I use is either my own hand-dyed string or some string I get from Pomegranatecoclours on Etsy. In the past, I've also used strings by ThreadWorx (I really like their colour intensity, but the strings are pre-cut which is not ideal for bracelet making). Additionally, I've heard great things about KreationKaos, but never used her strings myself.
- I dye my own string using a (relatively cheap) tie-dye kit I got from Amazon. Then I just follow KrazyKnotz's tutorial on dyeing your own string, and then I hope for the best ๐
- To get smooth colour changes when using variegated strings, I like to make bf or fb knots with the colour changing string, so I continue with the longest string/the one thats furthes behind vis-a-vis the colour changing. A lot of it also depends on the string you're using (strings with wider colour-changing intervals are easier to get seemless colour changes with, at least in my experience) ๐
- Also, remember to start with the strings aligned at the beginning, so no string is 'ahead' of the others.
Happy knotting ya'll โ
