Things you will need
- string
- scissors
- a way of holding your bracelet in place while making
Step 1
Cut your strings (having an odd number of strings or going to have an odd number of sections, I'm using 5), tie them in a knot, and secure them for making the bracelet.
Step 2
Split your strings into the sections you want, and the order you want them in. I did 5 sections of 1.
Step 3
Take the odd-numbered sections except for the last one on the right side, and cross it over the even numbered string to its right. So I crossed my 1st string over my 2nd, and my 3rd string over my 4th, leaving out the 5th string.
Step 4
Now taking the odd numbered sections except for the first one, cross them over the even numbered sections to its left. So I left my first string, crossed my 3rd string over my 2nd, and crossed my 5th string over my 4th.
Step 5
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until your bracelet is your desired length. Then finish it off with a knot.
Done
Now you have your braided bracelet! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and like how your bracelet turned out ๐Ÿ™‚ This tutorial works for any braid with an odd number of sections, whether it's 3, 5, 7, 9, etc.
