I didn't comment to be mean or because I have nothing better to do. I commented to try to stop you from copying patterns in the future, because it's an immoral thing to do.

@madeleine_ First off I never said that this was an original pattern. Second, doubling patterns requires just as much creativity as making a variation. As you said in your own words “Doubling isn’t any more of a change than a variation is”. Third, this whole conversation started because you didn’t agree with what I wrote even though it wasn’t even directed at you. I don’t even understand what the point is of you continuously commenting about a pattern that wasn’t even yours to begin with. Obviously now you’re just commenting to be mean and because you have nothing better to do. At least I have enough creativity to create patterns in the first place. Many people enjoy the patterns that I create, and I enjoy posting patterns here on BB where nothing can limit my creativity, especially not you. So I hope that you got your kick out of this conversation, but now I am going to be the bigger person, even though I am much younger than you, and I am going to end this discussion. Thank you for your concern, but I will no longer be commenting back and forth with you about this pattern. Feel free to leave a nice comment if you have one, but if not, I will be on my way. Have a great day.

First of all, you credited her where only one person could see it. If she hadn't commented on this pattern, no one would have known that she's the original creator unless they recognized her pattern. Second of all, when someone makes a pattern, they intend for other people to make it into bracelets. And when most people make bracelets, especially here on BraceletBook, they don't act as if they created the original pattern. And lastly, doubling patterns requires no creativity whatsoever.

you trying to comment on this, @madeleine_ but you cannot limit my creativity or anybody’s creativity here on BB. So I will continue to make variations of patterns and I will double patterns as well as continue to credit them. Since you have no idea what all I did before submitting the pattern, you can’t really say that I did anything wrong. Thanks and have a good day ✌🏽

@madeleine_ I credited the creator @sodapop when I submitted the pattern to the mods. And if what you’re saying is the case, then making bracelets from patterns is copying someone else’s idea since we find patterns that we like, and make them without changing anything about it. So I appreciate

How are they different? You saw a pattern you liked, didn't change it (doubling isn't any more of a change than a variation is), posted it as if it's your own, and didn't credit the original creator. How is that not copying? By the way, you have to tag me if you want me to get a notification that you responded

Doubling patterns and copying them are two completely different things. I said that it was irrational because you shouldn't rate someone's pattern poorly out of spite.

How is it irrational to give a pattern 1 star because it’s copied?
