@Aracne I've done a few with straight edges and I seem to knot loose enough that I do get the edge strand peeking through, which just happens to bother me more than having a perfectly straight edge. I figured I'd submit the modified version for others who feel the same, that's all. 🙂

I did this as a variation on #42445, but wasn't happy with the red peeking through on the edges. :/
