this is absolutely fantastic!! also if you add an extra string for straight edges on the left and do bf,bf,f,f,f for row 3, bf,bf,b,fb,f,f for row 4, and bf,bf,b,b,b for row 5, you can make straight edges without having to hook the beak (just an idea, idk how good it would actually look bc the hook would be really cute too)
