It's sort of a strange pattern so I wasn't sure how it would look in real life, so I'm glad to see how great yours looks. And yes, it does use a lot of string especially black. I generally buy the large variety packs of string from Amazon, but recently I also bought a pack of 20 skeins of just black & white thread (also from Amazon) because I use B & W so often, and my variety packs hardly have any in them. 😉 🤪 ❤️
