@logant you can just tie a knot with all individual strings and start the pattern on a diagonal against one of the large triangles. But to make a loop, use double-length of the colors that are even (like in a normal loop) then for the extra odd strings, you'll have to overlap them against each other along the loop with the other strings and cover them with larks head knots as you make the beginning loop. Then you'll have to carefully cut off those extra little ends as you start the actual pattern.
