Thank you so much for your help! I will definitely use it in the future ! In my much more complicated way i found out that I needed to use about 85 cm long of darker color and all the rest about a 70 cm long i'll add the photo for the new bracelet I made for this pattern (the same colors but much prettier) ☺️

@ofripazz Thanks for being the first to make this pattern and post a photo! Your bracelet looks really cool! I'm so sorry if you ran out of the dark strings before you could complete the desired length of your bracelet. If so, you could still attach extra strings to the ends and make braided or twisted ties with them in order to make it long enough to wear as a bracelet. There are some good YouTube videos by Masha Knots and others that demonstrate techniques to add extra lengths of string to your work without it being noticeable or weird-looking. Before starting a bracelet, I calculate roughly how much length I'll need for each string by tracking the path of each one throughout the pattern. Starting at the top of each string, follow the arrows along its path until you reach the bottom end of the pattern (if you tap or click on the top of any string on the pattern display screen, the path becomes highlighted). Count how many arrows (knots) along the path are the color of the string you're tracking, AND are pointing in the direction of the path. For each string, if the number of arrows/knots is less than, or equal to, HALF of the total number of rows in the pattern, you'll need about 3 feet (or 3 meters) of length for each string in order to make a typical sized bracelet of about 7 inches. If the number of knots for a string equals more than half the number of rows in the pattern, you'll probably need 6 to 12 inches more length for that string, especially if you're making a knotted loop at the top, and/or ties at the end. In this pattern, each of the darkest strings has 30 to 32 knots, and the pattern has 60 rows. So that's almost exactly half the number of knots compared to the number of rows. I'd use about 3 feet plus a few extra inches for each of these strings. The pale mint-colored strings in this pattern have 28 to 29 knots each, so the necessary length for that color should be almost the same as for the darkest strings. The other two colors (darker green and white) have 22 to 23 knots each, so 3 feet per string should suffice for those. Hope this is helpful for future reference! 😍 |

For this pattern you should make the darkest string much longer than the rest
