@perceivin if there's 2 same colors on opposite sides (DD/EE and DD/HH) you can fold/hook them around each other inside the loop so they are connected but end up on the sides they belong. You could also use that as an opportunity to make a split-color loop. For the single strings, lay them out with the other strings so there's quite a long overlap to hold onto, and knot around them all together like in a normal loop. Then gently pull the corresponding single strings through the loop just until the tail end disappears inside the loop. Be very careful making your first several knots so you don't accidentally tug those colors all the way out. 😄
