Ahhhhh ! Thanks again, @arts_milia. I just watched a video on how to braid the square knot and I'm going to try it out on the next project I start. You have been sooo helpful 🙂 - thanks so much!

@lukemagnus you should give dyeing your own strings a try! It's not too difficult to figure out, and the results are awesome! 😄The loop is a square knot loop, with a white and black string around the rest of the strings. It's similar to a regular loop, but instead, bf/fb knots with a single string, you use two strings to make square knots. I hope that makes sense! I always find it kinda hard to explain knotting techniques by text, so if theres anything I need to explain better, please let me know 😅 |

Thanks so much for your reply, @arts_milia! I'm kinda curious about trying to dye threads. I use variegated threads for effect sometimes, but dying seems like it could be even more interesting.I have one other question for you about your results. Your starter loop looks like it has a black outline around the white. How did you achieve that? I don't think I've ever seen that before. I can't quite tell what's going on form the angle of the photo ! It's cool looking! |

@lukemagnus Thank you so much! 😄The most important thing is probably to make sure the strings are aligned at the beginning of the bracelet. I also like to make bf or fb knots when two the colour-changing strings 'meet', so I continue with the longest string/the one that's furthest behind vis-a-vis the colour changing. A lot of it also depends on the string you're using (strings with wider colour-changing intervals are easier to get more seamless colour changes with, at least in my experience). Hope it helps!

@arts_milia - the colors and gradient shifting are so well done! how do you manage the dyed threads to color transition at the same rate? did it just naturally work out or did you have to take special care when braiding?

@itsheapass thank you so much! 😄 I dyed the string myself with some relatively cheap tie dye colours I got online, following @KrazyKnotz's tutorial on how to dye your own string
