@parkrr@emp217 A 1212 pattern is a pattern with only fb and bf knots. I'm not sure why it's called 1212 pattern. With patterns like these, you can make any two-colour design you want. The strings are always alternating like this: abababab... And because every knot is fb or bf, the strings never switch places. That means any knot can either have colour a or colour b. It is very easy to 'draw' complex designs like that.
I believe that this pattern should also be possible without so many fb and bf knots, but designing a pattern like that would be a little more complex.
