@websty I understand that, but what I meant was that this pattern was created to mimic the original pattern. Although it is a little different, it looks very similar to #49390 . I don’t mean to be rude, or asking to take this pattern down, I was just letting the creator of the pattern know that it looks very similar to #49390 .
@linds_io i think it’s rather harsh to say this pattern was copying #4390 when that pattern depicts an evil eye, a symbol that dates back almost 3000 years & is in no way an original design, also that pattern wasn’t even originally intended to be shaped a shaped pattern many people who made it just decided to use that technique. this pattern is inspired by an anime and shares no colors with #49390 and doesn’t even have the same number of strings. eyes are a really common thing😁👍🏻

I think the pattern @linds_io talks about might be #49390 which is also an eye pattern from which bracelets following a similar concept are made. I think your pattern is clearly different and I think it's great to have different patterns for a similar concept because everyone does it a little differently. I think shaped eye patterns are just trendy right now. So no worries 😄 I also made a pattern inspired by the pattern mentioned (#53163) and I think it's completely normal to get inspired by other people's designs. (I know you didn't get inspired by @clairehair's design.)
Just to clarify (to anyone and everyone) - YES, this eye-pattern isn't original. I saw it around 2014 on the internet and made the first attempt at making a bracelet (which wasn't expanding the same way this one does on my photo, and also wasn't good at all xd) with this pattern. I remembered about this old attempt a year ago, and decided to try again, figuring out how to make the pattern expand and narrow along the way. Needless to say, I have no idea where the original pattern comes from. I only posted it to the site because I couldn't find a similar pattern here, and also because I wanted to share a photo of my bracelet (and maybe inspire some ppl to make something similar)
