@Avacado113 i did it with a tutorial from macratin on youtube , the tutorial is in spanish but you can understand it without listening !! Hope it helps
@Avacado113 im pretty sure what they did is make the whole pattern and then cut the outline. If you look closely i think you can see the part where it was cut.Hope this helped!
