@squirrel_ I can understand that. As a person who is both autistic and part of the LGBTQ+ community I don’t have this problem but I can see how people wouldn’t want to use this symbol as just having a rainbow on you or your bag cam paint you as a target for homophobia and hate crimes. I wasn’t out when I designed this pattern but I still used the symbol. It’s better than things like the puzzle piece logo by far but I can understand someone not wanting to have to constantly explain it. It is sad that autistic friendly logo is not well recognised and it’s sad that even being seen as an ally of the LGBTQ+ community can put people in danger. In my head though this logo does not represent my identity as a queer person it represents my identity as autistic, I have a different keychain for my pride flag.
I would use this but in general they will think that I am from the lgbt community, I am not against it and I respect their decisions. Generally speaking, not everyone knows that colors also represent mental conditions that make us different from normal people, it's sad
This is really cute! Not only does it support autism, but I think that if would be good to give to a friend! (The infinity symbol to represent your friendship forever) ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
