This is a more detailed head for my snake pattern #156191.
To use it, cut 8 (4 folded in half) base strings long enough for the snake body, and cut a string for the tongue loop that is long enough to knot the loop and tongue, plus able to be knot on for the length of the head. Knot the head as written. When it shrinks back down to 8 base strings, stop using the loop/tongue string. Finish the head pattern, and start knotting at row 13 on the snake pattern.
