@DaveEffinR for most people something between 70 and 90 rows will fit as a bracelet. It depends how big your wrist is, which material you use to knot and how tight you knot.

@DaveEffinR yeah this one is a little long for a bracelet and better for a keychain, but when I made it to trade bracelets for my concert I only did the “rep” and just continued the snake until it got to a length I liked (I ended up just moving the head up to the part of the snake’s body that is behind the “t” in the full pattern)

Oh wow, okay...how many rows would a standard bracelet roughly be? I'm looking for TSwift themed as I'm trying to hammer some out for my girls friends for the concert...guess 100 rows is too much then lol

@DaveEffinR this pattern is a little long to create a bracelet from it, so you'll need base strings longer than what would fit your wrist.Yes, skeins of embroidery floss have a standard length which is about 8 meters or 315 inches. If the skeins you have are really that much shorter than standard, you'll definitely need more than one skein per colour. |

Last question (prob not hahaha) - is a skeins standard length? Just bought some and appear to be approx 18in long...one should take care of the working string or would I likely need more to make this?

@DaveEffinR it is 22 base strings, so I would cut 11 strings that are double the length of what you would normally cut your base strings to be and fold them in half (I like to make my base strings longer than I know I’ll need them to accommodate for the ties at the end of the bracelet). For the working string(s), I usually just put my entire skein on a bobbin and use it that way so I don’t have to cut it to a specific length at all. Hope that helps!
