@samjossia sure, I used 5 separate leading strings for the knots between the holes, 3 light brown and one dark brown for each side To make the holes I just held two base strings together. I liked the look of backward-forward and forward backwards knots for the knots between the holes and I made those knots extra tight. Also I'm not sure if this is helpful or if I just made things extra complicated for no reason but I started to shape it on the row above the holes by making one knot on the first base string, one knot on the second base string, half knot on third base string, other half knot on second and third base string held together. Then I did that for the whole row above the rows with holes |

@chrisbeansThanks! I'm not actually very experienced at making alphas, so I'm not even completely sure how to create it (I just thought the idea might be cool--for someone else to make, lol). The site won't let me include links in the comments, but if you search "shaped" in the Tutorials section, you'll find a tutorial called "Shaped Keychain Tutorial". This tutorial will explain how to make rounded ends. The part that I'm not sure about is the holes. There aren't any tutorials or videos on BraceletBook explaining how to make holes in alpha bracelets, but if you search "alpha bracelet holes" on YouTube, you'll find ONE video that explains it. It should be the first one, and it's called "Урок №1 Петелька внутри фенечки / Tutorial №1 - loop inside a bracelet" (it's verbally explained in Russian, but the explanation is also written in English). The hole on the bracelet in the video is little bit bigger than the ones in this pattern, so you could probably do something similar, with less strings, to make smaller holes. I can message you the links if you can't find the tutorials. |
