I was thinking that a cool weekly challenge would be cool to try. I sometimes have trouble fully finishing one of the bracelets for the official challenge, so I thought if I collected some bracelets that based on your skill level would be do-able for the week. Hopefully I could try to do this every week with a theme occasionally. There will be three levels Beginner (difficulty of 1-2), Intermediate (difficulty of 3-5), and Advanced (difficulty of 5 and up). Also, in each section there will be two normal patterns and two alpha patterns. For the alpha patterns I tried to have the beginner patterns only including two colors and minimal color switches, the intermediate with three to five colors and more frequent color switches, and the advacned with 6 or more colors and more fancy patterns being created. For this week there will be no theme and because I am posting this in the middle of the week, this should be a challenge for the week of June 22-28. Beginner: Normal - #80 and #63 Alpha - #5929 and #286 Intermediate: Normal - #16365 and #10848 Alpha - #14145 and #9035 Advanced: Normal - #34494 and #36652 Alpha - #12042 and #3958 I am hoping in the future that some themes could be patterns all made by people of certain ranks (especially newer ones) , helping give some newer users some exposure. I you have any suggestions on how to make this better or upcoming themes and patterns, please put them below. I am so excited to see your creations, and I hope that you guys like this and will participate, so this can continue for other weeks. I also hope that this will help you guys become more advanced and learn new techniques and skills. This is NOT an official challenge and any posting of photos will not result in a reward. |

This looks really fun! I like how there are different levels, sense I find I can't do most of the patters in the official challenges. I might try this! ❤️

I am doing this!!!! Love the idea! I'll do advanced! Also I have a couple of alpha patterns that I designed I think they might be good for a intermediate category for a animal theme. Also I posted a alpha repeating dolphin, which I really like.

I do not know if this could be done, but to everyone commenting, do you think it would be cool to do a themed weeks for a month that would include each week as a different rank. This would mean that each week, starting at beginner, all of the patterns would be created by someone of that rank. This would continue each week for a month or two to help the people in lower ranks have their patterns shown. I always love to see patterns by higher ranks, but I think that most patterns don't showcase the lesser known patterns and this would be a cool way to show them. Please comment if you think this is a good idea and if you have any patterns to help this theme. 😊 |

The dolphin pattern got accepted! You can find it as #41527. You can go on my page, I have a couple other patterns for an animal themed challenge. Also, I was thinking maybe a weather themed challenge. I know there are great patterns out there for weather, maybe not as much normal patterns tho (I also have an umbrella and rain pattern if you want to check it out.) You could also do a summer theme or when it gets closer to the new school year, a school themed challenge would be cute. Hope this helps! |
