I will be hosting a 12 Days of Knotmas challenge starting in December, so if you'd like to begin your projects now, here is your chance!GOAL: The goal is to post your project that corresponds with each prompt on the corresponding day. There are 12 prompts, so on Day 1 you post your project for the Day 1 prompt, same for Day 2, etc. You do not have to do all the prompts, but make sure that the ones you do are posted on the correct days. DEADLINE: The challenge starts on December 1st and each day will be for posting a specific prompt until the last day, December 12th. A lot of 12 day challenges end on Christmas, but I don't want to distract too much from the festivities as we get closer to the holiday, so we'll be finishing earlier. PROJECTS: If you aren't sure whether something counts to fulfil a prompt, be sure to ask me. I can also provide examples if need be. For the prompts that specify multiple projects, you need to do all of them in order to officially fulfil that prompt. Also, be aware that each project can only be used to fulfil one prompt! No double dipping. POSTING: I will be advertising this challenge here, in any Discord servers I'm active in, and on Instagram (@aliciacraftbracelets). You can participate by posting your creations on any of those platforms. Be sure to tag me and indicate which prompt you are completing with that project. On Instagram, use the hashtag "12daysofknotmas." PRIZE: If you complete all 12 prompts in their entirety, I will send you a prize! This is open worldwide (be aware that you may be responsible for paying import taxes in countries where that applies). I will send you a custom creation (bracelet, keychain, etc) from whatever pattern you like. I will also send you 10 skeins of DMC floss in colours of your choosing. If you complete all the prompts, make sure to message me privately with the list of prompts and what projects you did for each one. I will send you a (free) listing in my online shop so you can submit everything through there. Otherwise, this challenge is just for fun! If you tag me on Insta I will probably share your posts to my stories as well. PROMPTS: 1. remake an old bracelet (can be in a new colour scheme, a doubled/halved version of the pattern, or same one if your technique has improved) 2. at least two different bracelets in the same colour scheme 3. at least two bracelets of the same pattern, different colour schemes 4. three different chain bracelets around the same theme (fruit, animals, seasons, etc) 5. at least two keychains around the same theme 6. a bracelet using a finishing technique you don’t usually do (for example, single/double ties, different types of loops, crimp ends, magnets, buckles, buttons, etc) 7. a shaped bracelet that isn’t a chain 8. a wall hanging at least 20 strings wide 9. a project with multicolour string 10. a project with either sparkly or metallic string 11. a chain, normal, and alpha in Christmas colours (or other colour scheme of your choosing) 12. a Christmas-themed alpha (either bracelet, keychain, or wall hanging) Swap-out 1: Make a pattern you designed but haven’t made yet Swap-out 2: Make something complicated that you need to follow a tutorial for instead of just reading the pattern as-is (doesn’t count if you need tutorials to follow regular patterns) If you have any questions, please reach out! It's an open challenge so no one needs to do anything special to join.Everyone: I forgot to post this in the main post, but make sure to put the name of the challenge (and the prompt) in your submission photos here on Braceletbook! Try to submit your photos as early as you can in the day of the prompt so it has the highest chance of being accepted during the appropriate day. |

@ElinBeck22 You can create them anytime, just wait to actually post them anywhere until the day that the prompt is for. So for the Day 1 prompt, wait until December 1st to post pictures anywhere, etc. And like I said, you can just post them here if you don't have Instagram, just make sure to put the challenge title and the prompt in the photo.

So... For all the prompts that says "bracelet"... Do we absolutely have to make a bracelet? Like for prompt one for example... Can I do an old keychain pattern?

@Grenda Yes! Duo bracelets count since they're two separate bracelets. Actually, they are perfect for the prompt since they are matching by default!@J3ssica I will allow any type of project on the first prompt, but everything else is as specified! |

@Grenda No, only the last two prompts are specifically Christmas themed, but you CAN do Christmas patterns for all of them if you want. For prompt 11, I mention that you can choose another colour scheme if you wish, and for 12, I'll add that if you don't celebrate Christmas or just don't want to do that theme you can choose another winter theme or pick another appropriate holiday.
