Hi everyone! I'm hosting my first challenge, Halloween Bracelet Bingo. Go to this link to view the bingo card: https://aliciacraft.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/halloween-bracelet-bingo.png GOAL: The goal is to complete the projects in 4 boxes in a row to achieve bingo! This can be 4 in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. However if you want to play a variation like corners (the boxes in all 4 corners), borders (the 12 boxes on the edges), centre (the 4 boxes in the centre) or blackout (all boxes) that's fine too! DEADLINE: The challenge starts on October 1st and ends on October 31st! EXAMPLES: Many of the boxes provide examples, but you can choose your own patterns as well! If you aren't sure whether something counts, be sure to ask me below or in a private message. POSTING: When you upload your photos here, make sure to include the text "Halloween Bracelet Bingo" as well as the prompt for the box it completes, like "pumpkin pattern." Other locations: I will also be advertising this challenge on Instagram (@aliciacraftbracelets). You can participate by posting your creations either here or Instagram. Be sure to tag me and indicate which prompt you are completing with that project. On Instagram, use the hashtag #halloweenbraceletbingo PRIZE: If you complete all 16 boxes, for a blackout bingo, I will send you a prize! This is open worldwide. I will send you a bracelet of your choice either from what I have available or a custom one. I will also send you 10 skeins of DMC floss in colours of your choosing. Once you have completed blackout, send me a private message here and I will verify your submissions by looking through your photos. Please send me the list of the 16 patterns you used for bingo to make it easier for me. After that we can move to email to facilitate the prize process. Otherwise, this challenge is just for fun! If you tag me on Insta I will probably share your posts to my stories as well. This is open to everyone! No need to comment if you intend to join, but if you want to do a weekly update of all the patterns you did for the challenge (and what prompts they fulfilled), feel free to do that! You can also tag me in the comments of each pattern you do so I can see your lovely creations. If you have any questions, please reach out! Happy knotting! |

Ha, I forgot that tags here work the same as Instagram so my handle now has a strikethrough. So if you want to join on Instagram, here's the link to my profile: https://instagram.com/aliciacraftbracelets

@Arkengheis Thank you!! And you only need 4 for regular bingo, so I'm sure you can do that much haha! Also, you have some truly great patterns! ❤️

This is a lovely challenge idea, but you might need to reconsider the price. Sharing your address with a stranger online is not safe. I'll discuss with the other mods, if you need to change the price.

@halokiwi Oh, I suppose I didn't consider that, because I have a stationery business and people order from me all the time so I just considered it like another business transaction. Maybe if they submit it as a (free) order through my shop it will seem more reputable? Just like everyone selling their bracelets on Etsy and advertising here? Technically in those transactions they are also giving their addresses to strangers in exchange for items.

That is true. I agree, handling it via your shop seems like a more reputable way to do it. 😄It is true, you always need to give away your address when buying something online, but at least when it is a reputable store, you can be almost certain that it is save to do so. |

@halokiwi Yep! That way, if it's a business transaction, there is built-in liability and consumer protections. I'll make sure to create a listing if anyone does achieve blackout bingo. Thank you!

I literally just had #158194 accepted. Can I PLEASE have it count for a skeleton pattern? I understand if I can't.

I think I can do a blackout bingo in time so I'll start with doing a combo of orange yellow and white in the pattern #175799. Would that also count as the candy corn spot or only one?

Hey I got a couple of questions 🙂- For the color combos ones, does it have to be only 3 colors, or can we use more ? And do they have to be shades of the main ones or are different ones cool too ? - Can we enter these in other challenges here ? - how large does the large Halloween piece have to be ? Also thanks for saying my patterns are good 😊 |

@Raynebow8 In response to your question, it would only count for the orange/white/yellow prompt! The candy corn one has to actually feature candy corn, and each project can only be used for one prompt anyway!

@Arkengheis To answer your questions:1. Good question! I think it's ok to use more than those three as long as it still gives Halloween vibes. Like, you can't take the orange/yellow/white and add pink and blue and green and make a bouquet of flowers for example. Also, shades of the colours are okay as long as it's still easily discernible. I should be able to glance at the bracelet and be able to tell what colour scheme prompt you are fulfilling. 2. Yes, you can use these submissions for other challenges too! You just can't use a single bracelet for more than one prompt within this Bingo challenge. 3. This one is more loosely defined. I would say anything larger than what can comfortably fit on a D-ring, so more wall-hanging size. Roughly 25x25 or larger, but again, there is some wiggle room there. If you want to know if a specific pattern counts, you can ask me anytime. |
