I just want to add to the conversation and say that we currently have 8 cats living here. One stays outside n two go in n out. Our beautiful miracle babies turn two next week n we have their miracle momma. N a kitten showed up in our backyard on the first of this month. We think she's about 6-8 months. Not sure. My profile picture is of my favorite kitty... Our gorgeous baby boy Ash who recently made it into a calendar. Lol #hoorayforcats #proudcatmom lol

@J3ssica @Fizzah I have a very long story.... 😅 You funny have to read it though 😹So like four years ago my sister got two kittens and they were outside cats. Then a stay cat "adopted us" and so we had three. All of the girl cats got pregnant because of a stray in the woods and had kittens. We then had SIXTEEN cats, including the mothers who we kept. The stray Mama ran away and we never saw her again, and one of my sisters two cats got hit by a car and we gave most of the kittens away. Now we have five and one of them is my BEAUTIFUL orange kitty that I love 💕💕💕 |

@martha9999 our girl Lily showed up here a little over two years ago with a gunshot wound n we took her to vet right away and I applied her wound care myself and six weeks later, she gave birth to four but unfortunately only 3 made it but those three turn two next week and are all happy and healthy. Ash is my favorite though. He knows it too. Lol They're my little miracles. Lily is one tough kitty. But... Yeah, one just showed up in our backyard on the first. We named her Ava. But... All together, we technically have 8 cats. Lol 😂

@martha9999 aw! The hole in Lily was crazy! There were actually two. One small entrance wound and a big exit wound. It was so awful! How she not only survived but managed to give birth to three gorgeous kittens is beyond my compression. Smh

@martha9999 right through her side! Thankfully didn't hit any vital organs or the fetuses. Our vet said, she's one lucky little feline. I think she's a miracle. All our neighbors are angels though. So... Wondering who did it still. Lily is literally a sweetheart. And... No reason at all to shoot a cat! Smh

@J3ssica @martha9999 those are some real bittersweet stories but I'm glad for the cats y'all have now and hope the stay well. We took in my first cat, his name is Mimi, when he showed up at the door of one of our relatives. I was in the process of begging my parents for a cat and when my cousin told me about him I just went and brought him home and fought to keep him. Now everyone adores him, even though he is a little bit of an A-hole. In between, we had another cat who came in very sick so we took her to the vet. When she was okay we let her out because it felt like she wasn't from the streets. She was pretty well trained. But she kept coming back so we ended up keeping her. Her name was Ghazal (means song in English because she was very whiny) and she gave three kittens who we names Taco, Mao, Cheeku. But after a few weeks of the babies being born, one of our family friends wanted to adopt them all and it was becoming problematic for us to have so many cats, so we gave them all to them. But I think after giving them away the house felt so empty that everyone felt it and a year later Topi came in, at first we weren't letting her in because of how the story ended with ghazal but then topi was so insistent that she just made this house her own. Now she also has three kittens Rumi, Tintin and Bittu and we're going to keep them all (it has been confirmed and I and my siblings are not letting them go this time for sure) |
