Hey there! Thanks for checking out my challenge! First, I would like to say that I’m still hosting a challenge that ends in two days, but I’m going to go ahead and hold sign-ups so that we can start quicker. In this challenge, each round will have a different Disney theme. You are going to make a pattern of the theme. For example, if the theme is food, you could make the plate of spaghetti from Lady and the Tramp or ratatouille from, well, Ratatouille. It will be loosely in the format of a competition reality show, with surprise twists, elimination, prizes for each round (power-ups), and grand prizes. 🚨 MAX NUMBER OF PEOPLE: There’s a max of 20 people, so sign up quickly if you want to join! ℹ️ ABOUT: 🔹 Three people will be eliminated every round until we have five people, in which they compete for the grand prize. 🔹 There will be 6 rounds. 🔹 Round 1: 20 people 🔹 Round 2: 17 people 🔹 Round 3: 14 people 🔹 Round 4: 11 people 🔹 Round 5: 8 people 🔹 Round 6: 5 people 🔹 There will be a new forum topic for every round to keep things organized. 🔹 Each round will be two weeks long with a three day extension if needed and a one day break between rounds. 🔹 If you miss the deadline without early notice (at least 24 hours), don’t submit within the extension time frame, or your photo hasn’t been accepted yet, you will be automatically eliminated. 🔹 If anyone drops out, the last person eliminated will be allowed back in, with an extra three day extension if needed on top of the original base extension of three days. 🔹 If there’s ever a tie, everyone that tied will get the prize of the place they got. 🔹 You can make up to two patterns per round. 🫵 WHAT YOU DO: 1️⃣ 🪢 Pick a pattern relevant to the theme. 2️⃣ 📝 Tell me what pattern you’re doing in the forum. 3️⃣ 🖼️ Knot, cross stitch, or crochet a bracelet, keychain, wall hanging, patch, bookmark, etc. 4️⃣ 📸 Take a pic and put “~~💙Disney Game Show Challenge💙~~ [round __]” somewhere in the photo. 5️⃣ 🌠 Submit the pic and let me know in the forum. (Tip: Submit the pic 1-2 days before your deadline so it’ll get accepted in time.) 🏆 PRIZES: There will be small prizes for every individual round as encouragement (like in competition reality shows), but there will be big grand prizes at the very end for the final winner. 🎊 Round prizes: 🥇: 5 stars on 5 patterns + shoutout in chat + 2 power-ups (you choose) 🥈: 5 stars on 4 patterns + shoutout in chat + 1 power-up (you choose) 🥉: 5 stars on 3 patterns + shoutout in chat + 1 power-up (I choose) 🎉🎉 Grand prize: 5 stars on 25 patterns loves on 20 patterns nice comments on 15 patterns shoutout in bio & chat + custom pfp if you want you choose any pattern for me to make (16 strings or under) Participation: 5 stars on 1 pattern 🔋 POWER-UPS: Like in competition shows, there are small prizes at the end of every round. The top three get power ups. 🔹 🎟️ TICKET HOLDER-You can use it at the beginning of any round (except the final one) and be immune to elimination that round. You won’t know if you’ll be eliminated, so use it wisely! If I decide to make that round a non-elimination round and you use this power-up, you will get it back. ‼️CAN ONLY BE USED BEFORE THE ROUND STARTS RIGHT AFTER THE FORUM POST IS OUT‼️ 🔹 🔖 THEME PICKER-You can pick the theme for the next round by private messaging me what you want the next round to be. You cannot pick the theme of the final round. ‼️CAN ONLY BE USED DURING THE DAY BETWEEN ROUNDS‼️ 🔹 📖 PATTERN PICKER-You can pick a pattern for someone else to do. You’ll private message me who you’re picking a pattern for, and I’ll let them know. ‼️CAN ONLY BE USED IN THE FIRST DAY OF THE ROUND‼️ 🔹 〰️ LINE EXTENDER-You get an extra extension of up to 3 days + the original base extension of 3 days. 🗒️ Power-ups notes: 🔹 If you’re eliminated and get back in by someone dropping out, any power-ups you had will not be available anymore. 🔹 At the end of each round when I announce the scores and places, if you win a power-up, private message me what you pick (for 1st & 2nd place) or I’ll private message you about your power up (3rd place), and I’ll tell everyone at the start of the next round. 🔹 I’ll announce all the power-ups everyone has at the start of every round. 🔹 After you get a power-up, you can’t get it again until you’ve gotten every other one (you don’t have to use all of them, you just have to get them, by either me choosing or you picking.). 🔹 Power-ups cannot be used in the final round. 💯 SCORING: Here’s how I’ll be grading you. 📓 Basic scoring: __/5 neatness—straight edges, knots evenness __/4 pattern—does it fit the theme __/5 creativity—starts & ends, color combos __/5 photo—quality, background, challenge name in photo __/1 deadline mindfulness—keeping deadline in mind, not needing extension ⭐️ The basic max is 20 points per pattern. ⭐️ 💫 Ways to get extra credit (1 point each): 🔹 charms 🔹 making a wall hanging [30+ base strings & 30+ rows] (wall hangings are so much work so I think you deserve extra credit if you make one!) 🔹 playing a Disney movie in the background of photo 🔹 having a picture/drawing of something Disney in background of photo 🔹 using clean alpha back technique (take pic of front and back) 🌟 If you do extra credit, the max is 25 points. 🌟 🗒️ Scoring notes: 🔹 If you make more than 1 pattern, I will grade each pattern and add up all the scores. 🔹 Everyone’s scores will be revealed at the end of each round, along with prizes, and the 2 people with the least number of points will be eliminated. 🔹 If your creation checks more than one extra credit box, you will get more than 1 extra point. 🔹 The max number of points you can get per round is 50 points. 📝 EXTRA NOTES: 🔹 There might be some non-elimination rounds. 🔹 There might be some partner rounds. 🔹 Disney includes Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney Princesses, and O.G. Disney. 🔹 If you get eliminated, there is still a chance you can get back in! 🔹 If there’s a pattern you don’t see but would really like to do, I MIGHT be able to make it, but no promises! 🔹 If more than 2 people don’t have pics up before the deadline, there will be an extra 2 day extension. 🔹 IF YOU JOIN YOU NEED TO BE READY TO COMMIT!
