Hi everyone!For this challenge, here's what I'd like you to do: 1. Pick an existing normal pattern (16 strings or fewer is recommended just because I'm asking for a quick turnaround) 2. Add a variation of the pattern in a color palette that's significantly different from the original and any existing variations. Try to introduce a fresh, creative take on it! 3. Make the bracelet and get your photo up by the deadline (Feb 18th) 4. Let me know here so I can see what you've come up with! 5. That's it! Check back for winners and/or to see others' creations! RULES -Normal patterns only. I'm sorry, but I'm still pretty bad at alphas myself and it doesn't feel fair for me to judge! -You can make whatever you want (keychain, bracelet, etc., but a wall hanging might be too big to finish in time) -Please ask to join so I know who's participating, but you DO NOT have to ask if you can join with the pattern of your choosing. If it's a normal pattern and you've come up with a variation for it, go right ahead. -The variation you make DOES have to be your own, though! -Adding the challenge name to your photo is helpful, but not strictly necessary -DEADLINE: February 18th JUDGING CRITERIA -Basic neatness, photo quality -Most importantly: the creativity of your variation! I want to see a totally different take on a pattern that looks great and adds value to the site because it introduces a different way of seeing the pattern. PRIZES -For the top three participants, I'll make one of your patterns (in a variation, if I can think of a good one!) -If you win but don't make patterns or would prefer a different prize, let me know and maybe we can figure something else out. @mags11 Cool variation! That would definitely work for this challenge if you made it and posted a photo. 😊 👍Sorry I've been slow to respond, btw. I expected to be around more when I posted it. But you can go ahead with that if that's what you'd like to do! I hope other people enter, too, but maybe you'll just be the guaranteed winner. Lol. |
