@sophlove21 how big does a pattern need to be for it to count as a wall hanging. I'm awful at math so... How many base strings by how many rows?

When you look at a pattern and it says the dimensions are, say, 30 x 60, just multiply 30 by 60 to get the number of knots. A 30 x 60 design would have 1800 knots. The design #90271 that wouldn't *technically count* is 29 x 31, so only 899 knots. That's why I gave it the 1.5 multiplier; they're technically much smaller but also that rule didn't exist yet. Plus they both look great!

It gets trickier when you're calculating normal patterns because they have the uneven number of knots per row thing going on, but hopefully nobody makes a wall hanging out of a normal pattern ๐

Also, I have a surprise for you all as we wrap up this first month! I have been working on a cool slideshow with all of the information about this challenge so we could see all the photos from each month all together. I figured that since we are all here on Braceletbook, we all understand the importance of sharing our art. This will also make it much easier for you to show your friends and family this art project you have gotten to be a part of! I added some intro slides at the beginning with all of the rules and a link to the original post so theyโre all in one place. Thereโs a list explaining the different tiers for the year-long challenge as well as where everyone stands. I ended up messing around with the prizes a bit since I added an extra tier and gave them all cute little nicknames; feel free to check it out!THERE IS STILL TIME FOR ENTRIES THIS MONTH! Here it is everyone, the moment that youโve all been waiting for: Wolf Moon Winners!Everyone did such a good job this month! I was absolutely shocked by the turnout tbh. All told, 10 participants made 15 different creations! From the smallest (238 knots) to the largest (12250 knots), I loved getting to judge every single one ๐ Without further ado, here are your winners. ๐ฅ. . . @stefs_Stuf with wall hanging #75684! This piece was absolutely beautiful; you took a very simple pattern and really made it your own. All the attention and care you put into it really shows. The finished product is truly a work of art-like, you could sell that thing! ๐ฅ. . .@FlowerB! Both of your designs scored highly in all categories, but in the end #65690 scored just a little bit higher. Both of your bracelets are so perfectly crafted, and I loved that your backgrounds in your photos really worked with your design. ๐ฅ. . . @J3ssica! Your wall hang also had a near-perfect score, I know it was your first so very well done! Once again all the ways that you made the pattern your own make it so special. Great job! I will update my bio with shoutouts and send y'all some love on your patterns when all my homework is finally turned in ๐ญ Special shoutout to @FlowerB, @stefs_Stuf and @vale_23 for being the first three people to make it into the โStar Gazerโ Category ๐ญ I will post updated scores in the February chat, and the tier list will be updated on the spreadsheet later tonight! @sophlove21 I can't believe my first wall hanging actually placed in this challenge. SO glad you like it n it's got a permanent place on my bedroom wall. I'm REALLY looking forward to giving everyone a run for their money in round two. Lol ๐บ๐
