Well... I just made my first alpha pattern on a d ring n it's SO awful. I REALLY don't get y. ANY tips n tricks on how to run an alpha on a d ring r appreciated.

@J3ssica to figure out if a D-ring is wide enough, measure the width of the D-ring and measure how wide a certain amount of base strings is in an alpha you have previously made. Then you can calculate the amount of base strings you can fit on the D-ring.

@halokiwi I accidentally got smaller d rings. I thought I was getting an inch long but they r a little under an inch. I recently did a 🍒 pattern with 12 base strings n the bracelet is a half inch thick. So... 14 to 16 strings should fit comfortably. I have no idea. The pattern I tried has 18 base strings but I actually added 2. They didn't look bunched up. I dunno. My sons bday is coming up n all he wants is a keychain for him n his beautiful gf. I been making them on round keyrings but I REALLY love how they look on the d rings. Nice n neat. I dunno what to do. I'm SO 💔. I literally cried for like 2 hours straight yesterday. Lol

@J3ssica don't beat yourself up because of a keychain 😄 I'm sure your son will love the keychain and appreciate the work you have put into it. He will know that you made it with love. Nobody is perfect when first learning a new skill.

@halokiwi but I just started my own business. Baker's Bracelets!!! On fb n Ig. I'm trying to do this for a living. Lol need to get it right. However, I just saw tutorials for double sided alpha keychains. Perhaps, I can do those? I still have tons of round keyrings. Lol but... For today... I'm going to try a smaller pattern. Lol I'm a bit discouraged though. Lol
