I keep seeing mention of a reward, but what exactly is that reward? Or is it supposed to be a surprise until the challenge is completed?

I did pattern #21834 (which is such a fun pattern total recommend) however, my photo got approved but I didn’t get a reword after it was approved (I should have 2 rewords) did I do something wrong? I put “2019 December challenge” in the photo
