hello! the other challenge i'm hosting flopped, so I'm starting a new one!

This challenge is all about improving your skills for the next 6 months!

🔎 Rules:
~ comment below what skills you would like to work on
~ tell me what kind of bracelet you would like to start off with
~ i will be asking for progress reports on your pieces 🙂
~ there will be a new bracelet given every 2-3 weeks
~ if you're satisfied with a skill improvement, you may move onto a different skill next! just let me know what you would change so i can incorporate that into your next bracelet
~ this is for everyone! there's no limitation to how many people can join or how many skills you want to work on
~ this challenge will end September 25th, exactly 6 months away from today.
~ you may join at anytime, even September 1st

🔎 Reward system:
~ 1st place: will choose a bracelet for me to make for you, a shoutout permanently in my bio, and all 5 stars on your patterns (even if you're a moderator!)
~ 2nd place: a shoutout in my bio permanently, 5 stars on your patterns
~ 3rd place: permanent shoutout

🔎 This challenge will be graded by:
~ how much improvement made in each category
~ how many entries you enter

I want this to be available for everyone, so even if you don't have much to improve on you still have a high chance of winning

✨ Important additions✨
~ If you dont have any patterns up but would still like to join, you can transfer your reward to another person as long as they're okay with it
~ There will be a limitation on the size of the pattern you may choose for me to make, so i have every right to decline a pattern if it is too big 🙂 but im not picky
~ If you are able to, I will mail the bracelet/wall hanging you choose to an address you trust, but this is optional

🔎 Example entry:
"I want to work on my normals. I want to work on segment knotting, straight edges, and keeping mine flat. I would also like to work on making shaped pieces. To start off, I want to work on a 12 stringpiece with 3-4 colors"
- for this entry, I would start off this person with #83825, since its mostly a chevron with a little bit of a twist. Its a good place to start. in 2-3 weeks, I will give them another pattern to complete thats a little more complicated, like #84210 since its easy to segment knot.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLETE EVERY BRACELET I GIVE YOU!!! If you only complete 5/10 entries given, dont worry!! take it at your pace

If you have any questions LET ME KNOW!

@colorqueen normally yes, but I see where the confusion came in! thats why i set up the sample piece 🙂

you may do that one to start off with, but from here on out I'll choose your patterns! I'll give you another prompt in about 2-3 weeks depending on how fast you complete that one

@abbey10 yes you may join!! there's no limit to the amount of people that may participate 😊

What skills would you like to work on, and what kind of bracelet would you like to start with? (i.e. normal pattern with 12 strings, alpha wall hanging, etc)

it seem that enough people have chosen their own pattern to start with so you may choose your own, just remember that I'll choose from here on

@Rainbow608 Great!!! what about your alphas would you like to work on? is there anything specific, or do you want to do overall?

What kind of design would you like to start off with? You may choose the first one, or if you give me a preference (i.e. alpha with 12 strings) then i can choose one for you!

I think I need to work on my normal pattern skills, so maybe a normal pattern under 12 strings?

@abbey10 great! I'm gonna start you off with something simple to see where youre at 🙂
Based off of your 3rd recent photo, I'll assign you the pattern #55372. its easy to segment knot and uses simple colors. you may choose whatever color scheme you would like!

would you like to work with shaped patterns, easy to segment knot patterns, or bigger patterns for the future? or would you like me to choose at random?

@hellooooo for you to get points for your project, yes. if you just want to participate but not post any pics thats fine!! I can't grade something i cant see, and if you look at the grading scale it says "how much improvement made in each category/how many entries you enter"

if you just want to join the challenge to, well, challenge yourself, thats perfectly okay. no pictures have to be posted, you just lose a chance to receive the rewards
