Hey everyone and Happy New Year! 🎉 It's @arf820 again with the weekly challenge!The instructions are the same as any other official weekly or monthly challenge. To earn a reward: - Choose a pattern from the list below and make it into a bracelet, keychain, bookmark, tapestry, whatever you'd like! - Take a photo of your beautiful creation and make sure you include the word "challenge" in your photo. Please make the word "challenge" as clear and unobtrusive as possible. - No need to tag me in the comments of the pattern you made. When a moderator reviews the photo you posted, they will see that it is for the official challenge if you put the word "challenge" in your photo. Then, they will give you 1 reward! A reward is a number on the top corner of your avatar on your profile. - You may make as many or as few of the patterns listed below as you like. You will earn one reward per creation! So, for example, if you make 2 bracelets that correspond to a pattern below, you will earn 2 rewards. - You do not need to ask me below if you can join. This challenge is open for any Bracelet Book user who wants to join! Here are the patterns for the weekly challenge! @ama123 to become a bracelet king/queen, you basically just need to be active on the site. posting content (such as patterns, photos, variations, or tutorials), helping out in the community (through posting in the forums, chat, comments), adding friends, and rating/loving patterns will all help you rank up. i hope that helps! 🙂

Sooo, just curious, how do you pick patterns for the Offical Challenges? Do you just go through a list or do you find popular ones? Or do you just put in a random number? I am really curious...

@CakeCup it depends on the mod, but we try to pick a variety of patterns (patterns with different string and color counts, patterns with unique designs) for the official weekly and monthly challenges. for me, i like to choose patterns that have one or no photos, so that they have a better chance of photos being posted to them. it isn't random, and we don't have a list of potential challenge patterns. sometimes we pick popular patterns, but sometimes not, because of course we want to recognize and bring attention to patterns that don't receive as much attention as others. 🙂

If I combine one of the shaped patterns on the above list with an alpha not on the list (using the alpha+normal technique) can I still get the reward or no?

Whenever I'm submitting a picture of any pattern, should I just put the words "[OFFICIAL] January 2021 Weekly Challenge, Week 1"? Or what should I put in the picture?

@Unicorns4 you just need to put the word "challenge" in your photo, but it's fine if you put "official january week 1 challenge"or something like that instead. 🙂

On the same subject as @2006_Mandy , if I were to combine an alpha on the list with a normal on the list, would that count as one reward or two?
