@Ciao yeah a training would be a good idea to see how people would moderate and really I agree 12/13 is too young. @Vsco_4Life I wish you didn’t have to be 17 to be a moderator I’ve seen mature teens mature enough to do the full job of moderating and although people may not agree it’s my opinion some 14+ teens are mature beyond their years!

@Ciao I agree that not all/most 12-13 year olds are immature and do not have the responsibility to be a mod or jr. mod yet. I think a test would be a great idea so that those 12-13 year olds that are mature can have their fair chance. Also, I think of this more as a voluntary job : )

Okay, so I was trying not to reply to this post so hard... but I'm sorry, I can't help myself. Are we all forgetting the point in moderators? They are to protect the younger people on this website from seeing inappropriate things (whether it is in patterns, photos, or comments). I'm sure there are sometimes extremely inappropriate things to get rid of on here; possibly even things we literally cannot mentally handle. Also, aside from that, @Admin was probably considering the fact that parents might not like the idea. I mean, I guess if the variations were separate from the patterns 12-16 yr olds could moderate those if they have contributed to the website and proven they can. It's really too bad, because when you first posted this I was all for it until I thought about everything I just said. Please don't come after me. It's just my opinion that I don't think it would be right for this website/app.

im sry that sum of u dont agree but if u dont just plz try ur best to ignore the urge to comment there are many people who wont agree and many who will the only thing that matters is that we keep our hopes this will always be a hope. and this is @Vsco_4Life idea and no matter what yall try i know as her best friend that she will not give up hope

@Cr3ativity unfortunate that’s true although I would think that teens could possibly handle it like 14+. I wasn’t trying to be rude when I said I thought 12 would be too young but for that reason. Arguments could easily come up and even the maturest 12 year old probably wouldn’t be able to handle it. It would also conflict that a parent would have to approve and we would have to have access to a proper laptop which some kids don’t. Then there’s also the fact that we will be going back to school. I’m not saying it’s a bad idea I like it but for your reason and my above reasons maybe only a 15 or 16 year old would be able to properly handle it while balancing schoolwork in the fall. No offense to anybody

@2006_Mandy yeah I can agree on some of that. One of the main reasons I don’t want to actually become a mod right now is because of the parent thing and also school will be super stressful especially because of the pandemic. The only reason I’m really commenting is to be supportive and help other kids my age be able to get what they could possibly handle.

@Hazel23 yeah again no offense but if the admin only accepts 17+ at the moment there’s a little chance he’d accept a 14-16 year old let alone a 12/13 year old. No matter if it seems ok he would like allow any 12/13 no matter the age of maturity but please don’t get mad this is just likely to happen. Wouldn’t you say the same thing? Plus most 12 year olds are only starting out making bracelets *most*. I’m done talking maybe message me if you really want to disagree again.

@2006_ Mandy no you were misunderstanding. I agree that most young teens wouldn’t be capable of doing the job. I was just trying to say why it might not be a good idea for some people. Maybe they didn’t really understand what it would mean🙂 I’m definitely not saying anything you said was wrong

@Vsco_4Life, @Hazel23, @2006_Mandy, I mean, there is something we can contribute to the site. We can always make patterns, videos, and tutorials. And we can always go to the forum and help the newer people who need help or tips. Honestly it would be good practice for being a moderator. It would help the community.

@Vsco_4 life I agree! Good chance for added responsibility and it just feels nice to be included in something important instead of feeling like we are just on the side and that important things should be left up to older people. Because it’s not true. Even kids can do great things!
