I want to open an Etsy shop but I need some tips and ideas. Questions/ Ideas needed: Poll (Which Name) - Lizzie.Ann.Bracelets ~or~ Lizzie.Bracelets 1) What should my logo be? 2) For starters how should I package my stuff? (Not to expensive) 3) What should I price my stuff? And any other tips for starting Thank you! |

It's cool that you want to open an Etsy shop!I personally like Lizzie.Bracelets better as it's a bit shorter and easier to say/remember. For packaging, one thing you can do is to get some thicker paper, e.g. cardstock, or something similar to wrap the bracelets around and to maybe write the name of your shop on the top. I would also look around at instagram accounts of other people who have bracelet Etsy's to get ideas. As far as pricing, I would look at other Etsy shops to get an idea of what would be a competitive/fair price for each type of item that you wish to sell in order to make sure you don't overprice or under price your items. Also estimate how much in materials it cost you to make an item and be sure to charge more than that so you can make sure you're making a profit. For things like bracelets it usually doesn't matter too much since thread isn't that expensive on a per bracelet basis, but if you're incorporating charms or selling things in bulk, for example, it could make a difference. I don't have any ideas of a logo, but I'd recommend playing around with photo-editing apps and logo-making websites. Play around with maybe using your initials, using a photo, a drawing, etc. I would also recommend that you don't have a lot of made-to-order items as they can get difficult to keep up with if you have too many of them or if you don't have enough time/motivation to do them as that can happen. I'm thinking about opening an Etsy too! I've seen lots of people say they got their packaging supplies from Amazon, but some people have said buy their packaging supplies/bubble mailers on Etsy too!
